Provincial Nomination Invitations Issued by Manitoba and Alberta

Two Canadian provinces recently issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for provincial nominations, boosting opportunities for skilled workers through their respective Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs).

Manitoba PNP Invitations

Manitoba extended invitations to candidates in its Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas streams. The draws took place between February 28 and March 7.

On March 6, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held two separate draws:

  • Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream: 98 candidates were invited, with the lowest-ranked candidate scoring 861 points.
  • Skilled Worker Overseas Stream: 13 candidates received invitations, with the lowest score being 724. This draw targeted individuals who were directly invited through a strategic recruitment initiative by the MPNP.

In total, 111 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued, including 27 to candidates with a valid Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code.

Alberta Immigration Draws

Between February 7 and March 7, Alberta conducted multiple draws under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) across various streams, including:

  • Alberta Express Entry Stream
  • Alberta Opportunity Stream
  • Dedicated Health Care Pathway
  • Law Enforcement Pathway

The most recent draw for law enforcement workers took place on March 5. In February, Alberta held targeted draws for workers in healthcare, technology, construction, and agriculture sectors.
