Focus on PNP and Priority Categories in 2025

Throughout this year, the majority of Express Entry draws have centered on PNP candidates. In addition, IRCC has also conducted draws for applicants under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and individuals aligned with priority categories for 2025, which include in-demand sectors like healthcare, STEM, and trades.

Who Applies Through Express Entry?

Every year, the Express Entry system receives candidate profiles from individuals in more than 100 countries. Unlike some immigration systems, Canada does not select applicants based on their nationality. Instead, candidates are assessed on their ability to succeed in the Canadian workforce.

The CRS is used to evaluate key factors such as:

  • Age
  • Education
  • Language skills
  • Work experience
  • Other personal attributes

This comprehensive approach helps Canada attract a wide range of skilled workers with varied professional backgrounds and global perspectives.
