Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has invited more candidates to apply for permanent residency through the Express Entry system.
In the latest round, a total of 249 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were sent to candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
To receive an invitation in this draw, candidates were required to have:
- A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 772; and
- An Express Entry profile created before 7:19 p.m. (UTC) on August 28, 2025.

This is the first Express Entry draw of September. It comes after a series of draws held in August, which included:
- A category-based draw for healthcare and social services workers on August 19,
- Another PNP-specific draw on August 18, and
- A French-language proficiency draw on August 8.
So far in 2025, IRCC has issued 56,069 ITAs through the Express Entry system.
Throughout the year, most Express Entry invitations have gone to PNP candidates. The remaining ITAs have been distributed among candidates in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), those with French-language proficiency, and applicants in priority occupation categories selected by IRCC.
