On July 25, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) held a new draw and invited candidates from the Alberta Express Entry Stream, with a special focus on the construction sector.
This draw targeted candidates who had experience in eligible construction occupations and could help address labor shortages in Alberta. A total of 39 invitations to apply (ITAs) for provincial nomination were issued to qualified foreign nationals. These candidates had valid Express Entry profiles and a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 66.
Draw Summary:
Category | Number of Invitations | Cut-off Score |
Alberta Express Entry Stream – Construction | 39 | 66 |
Only candidates whose primary occupation in their Express Entry profile matched Alberta’s eligible construction job list were considered. Additionally, those with Alberta job offers needed the offer to be in a qualifying construction-related occupation.
Candidates interested in knowing which occupations are currently accepted under the construction sector can visit Alberta’s official AAIP webpage for the full list.
