About the NLPNP and AIP
The Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) allows the province to nominate individuals who have the skills and job offers required by local employers. Successful nominees and their families may then apply for permanent residency in Canada.
The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) helps designated employers in Atlantic Canada hire international talent. The program supports long-term retention through employer involvement and settlement assistance.
Next Steps for Applicants
To be considered for future invitations, candidates must:
- Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) via the Provincial Government Immigration Accelerator platform.
- Hold a valid job offer from an eligible Newfoundland and Labrador employer.
- Provide an employer invite code if applying through AIP or from outside Canada.
EOIs remain valid for 12 months. If selected, candidates or their employers will be notified by email.
Receiving an ITA does not guarantee approval. All applicants must meet specific program requirements and submit complete documentation. The province will continue reviewing EOIs and issuing invitations throughout the year based on evolving labor market demands.
