Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has once again issued more invitations to apply (ITAs) through the Express Entry system.
In the latest round, 2,500 candidates were invited under the Healthcare and social services occupation category. To qualify, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 470 and were required to have created their Express Entry profile before 8:08 p.m. UTC on April 23, 2025.

This draw marks the fifth Express Entry draw of the month and the second of the week. Since May 2025, IRCC has consistently held one Healthcare and social services draw each month. Before May, no such draws had taken place this year, highlighting a significant policy shift toward prioritizing these professions.
The latest category-based draw comes shortly after other targeted draws: a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on August 18, a French language proficiency draw on August 8, and a Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw on August 7.
So far in 2025, IRCC has issued a total of 55,820 ITAs through the Express Entry system. Most draws this year have focused on PNP candidates, while others targeted applicants under CEC, French language proficiency, and specific occupation-based categories.
