Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has once again invited candidates to apply for permanent residency through its Express Entry system. In the latest draw, a total of 125 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued to candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) category.
To be eligible for this draw, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 784 and must have submitted their Express Entry profile before 6:12 p.m. UTC on September 12, 2024.
This draw marks the third Express Entry round in June. It follows two earlier draws this month, one held on June 4 for healthcare and social services occupations and another PNP-focused draw on June 2. All three draws have been conducted under the leadership of Canada’s new Immigration Minister, Lena Diab.
So far in 2025, the IRCC has issued a total of 35,342 ITAs through various Express Entry draws.

Can You Update Your Express Entry Profile After Submission?
Yes, candidates are allowed to update their Express Entry profiles after submission, as long as they continue to meet eligibility requirements. Making updates especially when there’s an improvement in language test scores or work experience can significantly boost a candidate’s CRS score.
However, it is extremely important that all information provided in the profile is accurate and truthful. If an ITA is issued based on false or outdated information, the candidate could become ineligible for permanent residency.
Submitting incorrect information intentionally or unintentionally can be considered misrepresentation, which is a serious offence under Canadian immigration law. It may result in:
- Revocation of permanent resident status
- Loss of Canadian citizenship (if already granted)
- Financial penalties
- A ban from applying for Canadian immigration for a set period
Candidates are strongly encouraged to keep their profiles up to date and ensure all information is correct to avoid any legal consequences or delays in the immigration process.
