From August 11 to August 19, New Brunswick had held four draws for its provincial nominee program, inviting a total of 1,052 candidates to apply for permanent residence. Invitations were sent out through New Brunswick Skilled Workers Stream and New Brunswick Express Entry Stream.
Draws under New Brunswick Skilled Workers Stream:
The New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream draws were held between August 11 and August 19. About 1,002 candidates were sent invitations through this scheme in the given time period. The three draws were under two different pathways namely New Brunswick Experience and New Brunswick Graduates. The characteristics of the three draws are as follows:

The cut off date for all these draws was August 10, 11:59 pm AST.
The first draw did not include following occupations such as:
1. NOC 42201 – Social and Community Service Workers
2. NOC- 75101 – Material Handlers
The second draw did not include following occupations:
1. NOC 42201 – Social and Community Service Workers
2. NOC 62200 – Chefs
3. NOC 75101 – Material Handlers
The third draw was for those who spoke French fluently. The occupations not included in this draw are as follows:
1. NOC 42201 – Social and Community Service Workers
2. NOC 62200 – Chefs
3. NOC 75101 – Material Handlers
No cut off scores for any of the three draws were announced by the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program. Unlike previous years, the New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream Program has three pathways namely:
- New Brunswick Experience
- New Brunswick Graduates
- New Brunswick Priority Occupations
Draws under New Brunswick Express Entry Stream:
Under New Brunswick Express Entry Stream 50 invitations were issued. The draw was carried out from August 11 to August 19 with the end being August 10. Candidates in the following professions were excluded from the draw which are as follows:
1. NC 42201 – Social and Community service workers
2. NOC 62200 – Chefs
The eligibility for New Brunswick Express Entry apart from being a skilled worker in the Federal Express Entry pool are as follows:
- Currently working full time for a New Brunswick employer under TEER category 0,1,2 or 3
- Have been working full time for 12 months under a New Brunswick employer under TEER category 0,1,2 or 3
- Had been living in New Brunswick for the past 12 months.
No cut off score was announced for this draw as well.
No of invitations issued by New Brunswick in 2025:
A total of 3067 invitations were sent out by New Brunswick till the end of September 2025. In February 2025, New Brunswick got allotted a nomination allocation of 1,500. In June 2025 an additional 1,500 were negotiated by and got allocated to New Brunswick thereby bringing the total of 3000 nomination slots till the end of September 2025. It is important to note that invitations exceed the nomination slots as it is expected that some invitations might be turned down due to withdrawal or ineligibility of the candidates.
