The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) conducted five separate immigration draws between June 5 and June 19, 2025, inviting a new wave of skilled workers to apply for provincial nomination.
These invitations were based on applicants’ work experience, high-demand skills, and potential to contribute to Alberta’s growing labour market.
Breakdown of Draws: June 5–19
During this two-week period, Alberta held five draws across five different immigration streams. Each draw had its own specific eligibility criteria and cut-off scores.
Three of the five draws were conducted through streams aligned with the federal Express Entry system. The Alberta Express Entry stream focuses on candidates from key sectors such as:
- Construction
- Agriculture
- Aviation
- Healthcare

Earlier in 2025, Alberta announced that invitations to apply (ITAs) through the Alberta Express Entry stream would be prioritized for candidates working in these sectors. This stream also includes three specialized pathways:
- Dedicated Health Care Pathway
- Accelerated Tech Pathway
- Law Enforcement Pathway
AAIP Nomination Numbers for 2025
As of June 19, the AAIP has issued 2,535 nominations out of its total allocation of 4,875 for the year. This leaves 2,340 nomination spots still available for eligible applicants in 2025.
The province has also shared detailed information regarding the recent draws, including:
- Which streams were selected
- How many nominations were issued in each
- The number of Expressions of Interest (EOIs) currently in the candidate pool
